ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men's and women's track and field programs will be competing in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Indoor Championships this Saturday, February 24, but the outdoor season is just around the corner.
The Thunder will kick off the outdoor season at Indiana Wesleyan for the Polar Bear Classic on March 23. On a short week, the team will take part in the Marian University Open as well on March 28.
Business picks up in the month of April for Trine as they compete at the Spartan Invite on April 5 at Michigan State University, the Indiana DIII Championships on April 13 at DePauw University, the Indiana Little State Championships on April 19-20 at Indiana Wesleyan, and the Lancer Invite on April 26 at Grace College.
The MIAA Outdoor Championships will take place at Calvin University this year on May 2-3 to begin the postseason. The Thunder will look to multiple last chance events on May 9-10 and May 16-17 to attempt to qualify for the NCAA DIII Outdoor National Championships on May 23-25 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
