ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men's and women's track and field programs begin the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Outdoor Championships on Thursday, May 2 and the team champion will be crowned on Friday, May 3.
Events will begin at noon on both days of the meet at Calvin University's Gainey Athletic Complex. It is free to enter the venue to watch the 2024 MIAA Outdoor Championships. For more information, please visit CALVIN'S MEET INFORMATION PAGE.
The Thunder men are going for their fourth consecutive outdoor championship and ninth straight MIAA championship overall counting the indoor and outdoor portions of the calendar. National champion hurdler Jake Gladieux and jumps specialist and hurdler Greysen Spohn are the team's returning All-MIAA honorees on the men's side.
The Trine women were third in each of the last two outdoor seasons and are in search of their first MIAA championship since the 2021-22 indoor season. The Thunder received an All-MIAA award from Brianna Medcalf one season ago in the 800-meter run and she returns to defend her crown in the event this season.
