  • Cross Country Academic Awards Unveiled by USTFCCCA

    NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced the recipients of the 2023 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Cross Country All-Academic Athletes and Teams.  In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
  • Hoopingarner in Action for Trine at NCAA DIII Championship

    NEWVILLE, Pa. – At the 2023 NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country Championships, sophomore Ryan Hoopingarner represented the Trine University men’s cross country team as an individual qualifier into the event. The meet was hosted by Dickinson College and took place at Big Spring High School. Pomona-Pitzer were the team champions, edging out the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse by one point in the final standings.
  • Ryan Hoopingarner Qualifies for NCAA DIII National Championships

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country Committee has announced the participants for the 2023 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships. In order to be eligible to participate in the championships, teams and individuals had to qualify in their respective NCAA regional competitions that were held this weekend.
  • Men's Cross Country Places Seventh at Great Lakes Regional
    November 11, 2023
    NORTON, Ohio – The Trine University men’s cross country team was seventh out of 40 teams at the Great Lakes Regional hosted by John Carroll University at Silver Creek Metro Park on Saturday. The Thunder now look to the NCAA selection committee for a potential at-large bid on Sunday, November 12 where 22 opportunities are available.
  • Trine Nabs Four All-MIAA Honorees at Conference Championship Meet

    HOLLAND, Mich. – The Trine University men’s cross country team took the course at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships on Saturday and brought home a third-place team finish. The Calvin University Knights (17) were the champions of the conference after securing the top four spots on the leaderboard and Hope College (56) was second, finishing with slightly fewer points than the Thunder (60).
  • Thunder Cross Country Among Nation's Best at Interregional Rumble

    ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – In the team’s final event before the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships, the Trine University men’s cross country team took to the course at the Augustana Interregional Rumble at Saukie Golf Course. The Thunder placed 18th in a highly competitive field showcasing some of NCAA Division III’s top talent.
  • Men's Cross Country Scores Seventh-Place Finish on Friday

    MISHAWAKA, Ind. – At the Bethel University XC Invitational, the Trine University men’s cross country team finished seventh out of 16 teams competing in the event. Indiana Wesleyan University dominated the race by scoring seven of the top eight finishers.
  • Thunder Rolls in Team Victory at Louisville Invite

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Trine University men’s cross country team conquered the field in their 8k heat of the Louisville Invite on Saturday. The Thunder were best of the 32 teams in their race spread over all three NCAA Divisions as well as NAIA competition.

    FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Trine University men’s cross country season kicked off on Friday evening at the Maston XC Opener at Purdue-Fort Wayne. The Thunder placed second as a team, behind only the NCAA DI and host institution.
  • Men's Cross Country Fifth in USTFCCCA Regional Rankings

    NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has unveiled its preseason regional rankings for each of the 10 regions for NCAA Division III. In the Great Lakes region, the Trine University men’s cross country team enters the 2023 season ranked fifth.
  • Trine Alum Haley Livingston Selected as Cross Country and Track & Field Assistant Coach

    ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men’s and women’s cross country and track & field programs have announced the hiring of the position of Assistant Cross Country and Track & Field Coach. Head Cross Country Coach Zach Raber and Head Track & Field Coach Josh Fletcher have hired 2023 Trine University graduate Haley Livingston as their new assistant coach.
  • Trine University Cross Country Programs Release 2023 Schedules

    ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men’s and women’s cross country programs along with head coach Zach Raber have unveiled their season schedule in 2023. There are eight meets on the calendar this fall, including three postseason events. Last year, the Thunder placed third in both the men’s and women’s Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) standings and had a combined seven (four women, three men) named All-MIAA.
