CSC Reveals All-District Recipients for Men's and Women's Basketball
April 03, 2024GREENWOOD, Ind. - The 2023-24 Academic All-District® teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), have been announced for the basketball season. The Trine University women's basketball team had four student-athletes receive CSC All-District distinction while the men’s basketball team received two honorees.

Women's Basketball Nationally-Ranked in Final 2023-24 Polls
March 21, 2024ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women’s basketball team wrapped up the 2023-24 season by appearing in multiple postseason national polls. In the D3hoops.com Top 25, the Thunder tucked into the final spot in the rankings. The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Top 25 Coaches Poll saw Trine go from unranked to #22 in the final edition of their national ratings.

Titans End Tournament Run for Women's Basketball
March 02, 2024OSHKOSH, Wisc. – The 2023-24 Trine University women’s basketball season came to a close on Saturday night after the Thunder lost at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh by a score of 74-48. The host Titans shot 55.6% (25-for-45) from the field in the game and 63.2% (12-for-19) from deep to secure the win.

February 24, 2024HOLLAND, Mich. – The Trine University women’s basketball team won the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Tournament Championship on Saturday night 63-59 over #9 Hope College (24-3). It is Trine’s first MIAA Tournament title since 2019 and the Thunder (21-7) will be making their third straight trip to the NCAA Tournament by clinching the league’s automatic berth.

February 23, 2024HOLLAND, Mich. – The Trine University women’s basketball team (20-7) advanced to the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Tournament Finals game after they secured a 65-55 victory against Calvin University (18-8). The Thunder advance to play the host and number one seed, the Hope College Flying Dutch, on their home floor on Saturday, February 24 at 7:30 p.m. The league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament will be on the line in that contest.

The three-seed Thunder had to overcome serious shooting woes in the first half to pull away to a sizeable victory.

The Thunder enter the postseason at 18-7 overall and 12-4 inside the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA). The Hornets will miss the MIAA Tournament after going 4-21 and 1-15 in league play.

The 17th-ranked Thunder are now 9-2 in the 2023-24 season while the Tartans hold a record of 7-3 following the loss.
