MARSHALL, Mich. – Day one of the two-day Kyle Campbell Memorial at The Medalist Golf Club took place on Friday. The Trine women's golf team sits in ninth out of the 16 team field at Olivet College.
Hope College is currently pacing the field with a first-round team score of 315.
Grace Dubec [Fishers, Ind. / Hamilton Southeastern] had the lowest first-round score for Trine with an 81. The freshman is tied for 18th on the player leaderboard and scored three total birdies.
Next up was Maire Sullivan [Plymouth, Mich. / Plymouth] with an 86. Sullivan was consistent in her round and notched three consecutive pars on holes 11 through 13 to pace a better back nine than her front.
Carli Sanford [Howe, Ind. / Sturgis] carded a 90 in the first round with a birdie on the par-5 hole nine.
Also scoring a birdie on nine was Lily Williamson [Colfax, Ind. / Western Boone]. The junior finished her round at a 93.
Bailey Bravata [Holland, Mich. / Zeeland East] shot a 98 to round out team members for the Thunder.
