MARSHALL, Mich. – The Trine University women's golf team was in action on Saturday at the Kyle Campbell Memorial, hosted by Olivet College on The Medalist Golf Course. The Thunder finished eighth place as a group out of 16 teams in the field.
Trine was led by Grace Dubec with a second-round score of 81. The sophomore hit a team-high 10 pars in the second, with four in a row coming from holes 13-16. She took nine strokes off her first-round score and her two-day total was 171, second on the team.
Lily Williamson turned in the lowest 36-hole scorecard at 170 after a day two 86. She rattled off three consecutive pars on holes 5-7.
Reagan Guthrie tied Williamson at 86 in the second round of play and concluded the tournament at 178. Máire Sullivan finished at 91 on Saturday, a total of 173. Bailey Bravata was the final member of the team with a second round 97 and 189 total.
Individual Caroline Boyd scored a 95 on Saturday and finished the tournament at 187.
That concludes non-conference play for women's golf. The next time they compete will be at the first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree of the season at Knollwood Country Club in Granger, Indiana on Wednesday, September 14.
