SYLVANIA, Ohio – The Trine University women's golf team took the course in non-conference action on Monday afternoon for the Lourdes Invitational at Sylvania Country Club. Out of seven teams, Trine placed second overall.
Grace Dubec was the top finisher for the Thunder with a round of 83 to tie for fourth place. Calley Ruff and Mae Norman were also inside the top-10 as scoring members with an 85 and 87. Ruff finished in a tie for seventh place and Norman tied for tenth. Bailey Bravata was the final team member that competed in the event and she posted a 91 on her scorecard to tie for 18th.
Seven additional members of the women's golf team were also entered into the event. Sophie Argyle led the way of that group with a score of 91 to enter into the same tie as Bravata for 18th. Additionally, Caroline Boyd fired a 94 in the tournament to be scored 26th. Other scores included Payton Ault at 100, Chelsea Ziesmer at 109, Ava Dobbins at 116, Gianna Everett at 117 and Lucia Rodriguez at 120.
The postponed Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #4 is the final event on the fall slate for the women, but an official rescheduling has not been announced.
