ANGOLA, Ind. – The NCAA Division III women's hockey head coaches have recognized the top 25 players in the division selecting them as CCM Hockey/AHCA All-Americans for 2021-22 and a pair of Trine University student-athletes among those named. Seniors Brandi Wilson (Fenton, Mich.) and Kirsten Vandenheuvel (Denfield, Ontario) become the first members of the program to earn the award.
"We are very proud of Brandi and Kirsten. Being named to the CCM/AHCA All-American team is a great reward for the dedication each of these two individuals have shown for hockey at Trine," said head coach Tom Hofman, "For Trine to have two of the top 25 players in the division speaks volumes on how we develop players and the bright future of our program."
Wilson continues to rack up the awards following the newest honor, earlier this month she was named the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) Player of the Year and to the All-Conference team.

Wilson led the NCHA in points and goals while coming in second in assists.
Vanenheuvel joined Wilson on the All-American and All-Conference teams mainly for her solid defensive play. She is finished tied for fist among defenders in NCHA play with 14 points including four goals and 10 assists. Earlier this season she became one of two student-athletes to record their 100th game for the Thunder.
