ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women’s lacrosse team sent their seniors out with a bang, cruising to a 18-7 victory over visiting Calvin University on the final day of the regular season. The win puts the team in a tie for second place in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) standings.
KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Trine University women’s lacrosse team suffered a 14-13 loss in overtime on Wednesday night to Kalamazoo College in a topsy-turvy affair that features four lopsided quarters. The Thunder won the first and third quarters with ease while the Hornets were exceptional in quarters two and four and after 60 minutes, the score was all even. Kalamazoo was able to secure the opening draw control in the extra frame and went on to score the game-winning goal.
ANGOLA, Ind. – In a battle for sole possession of first place in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA), Hope College defeated the Trine University women’s lacrosse team on Saturday 18-10. Hope is now 9-4 on the season and 5-0 inside the league while the Thunder fall to 10-4 overall and 4-1 in conference play.

ANGOLA, Ind. – Lillian O’Neal led the way for the Trine University women’s lacrosse team as they picked up their sixth win of the season with a lopsided 16-0 victory over visiting Mount St. Joseph University. The freshman scored five goals to lead the game.

The Thunder got eight points from junior Calista Richmond to help secure the victory (three goals, five assists). ANGOLA, Ind. – In an evenly contested bout between the Trine University women’s lacrosse team and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds, the Thunder came up short 16-14 on Wednesday afternoon. The largest lead of the game for either side was three as the teams traded the lead 11 times in the game.

LIVONIA, Mich. – The Trine University women’s lacrosse team moved to 2-1 overall this season with an 18-7 victory at Madonna University (0-4) on Saturday. The Thunder were able to find success on clear attempts in the win, going 22-of-25 to put themselves in good positions to score on offense. The defense forced 33 turnovers as well.
