COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) has announced their first national rankings of the season with the Trine University women's triathlon team opens the season ranked second among NCAA Division III competitors.
The Thunder are currently ranked 19th overall, including teams from both Division I and Division II, while sitting behind just North Central College in the Division III ranks. The top team in the rankings is Arizona State University followed by the Queens University of Charlotte. North Central sits in 14th.
Individually the top performer for Trine is sophomore Grace Huisman who sits 90th in the nation and fourth among Division III competitors. Junior Katie Berlew comes in at 129th overall and sophomore Summer South is currently 131st.
The Thunder are set to travel to the Millikin Invite for their next competition. The main event of the weekend will take place on Saturday, September 23.
