COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) has announced their team and individual academic awards for the 2023 season, with Trine University featured on both lists.

CTCA Scholar All-Americans are selected for their excellence both in the classroom and on the course with individuals required to achieve a 3.5 GPA or higher and finish in the top-20 of their Division at the National Championship. Senior Rebecca Schaffner, junior Kathryn Berlew and sophomore Grace Huisman and all achieved the feat.
Sophomores Paige Aselage and Mariah Hurst each earned Scholar All-American Honorable Mention, achieving the same GPA requirement as their teammates, but finishing outside of the top-20 in Arizona this fall.
Trine finished second out of 11 NCAA Division III institutions at the 2023 Women's Collegiate Triathlon National Championships held in Tempe, Arizona. It is the fourth straight season that the program has finished as either champions or runners-up at the championship.
