NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Trine University women's cross country team has snuck back in to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Poll for week four in the 34th spot.
Trine was named in the preseason poll and week one, but had fallen out until Wednesday's rankings were revealed. There are six Great Lakes region schools represented in the national poll this week, the most of any region in the country.
The Thunder had an outstanding performance against six nationally ranked teams at the Louisville Classic. Trine placed sixth at the event and senior Evie Bultemeyer [Fort Wayne, Ind. / Homestead] was the individual champion.
The Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble will provide another opportunity for Trine to climb in the national poll moving forward on October 16.
