INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the first time in program history, the Trine University women's cross country team has qualified for the NCAA DIII Cross Country Championship.
The Thunder women found out on Sunday afternoon during the NCAA Selection Show that they would receive an at-large bid as a team to participate in the event. 32 teams received bids into the Championship race.
Senior Evie Bultemeyer [Fort Wayne, Ind. / Homestead] knew she had qualified as an individual by virtue of winning the Great Lakes Regional race, but she will be joined by all of her teammates in Louisville, Kentucky next Saturday, November 20. Spalding University and the Louisville Sports Commission will be the host site (Tom Sawyer Park). The women's 6K race will commense at noon following the men's 8K.
Video of the event will be livestreamed on the NCAA website, with Live Scoring as well. There will be no presale tickets, but upon arrival, spectators will be charged $10 per person for entry.
