NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the postseason academic awards for the 2022 cross country season.
HOLLAND, Mich. – At the Great Lakes Regional, the Trine University men’s cross country team finished 11th as a team. Competing at Three Fires Golf Club, hosted by Hope College, the Thunder were just outside the top-10, with John Carroll University securing the win and automatic qualifier for the Great Lakes Region to the NCAA Championships next weekend.
SHEPHERD, Mich. – The Trine University men’s cross country team finished third overall at Saturday’s Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Cross Country Championships at Alma College.
OBERLIN, Ohio – The Trine University men’s cross country team competed in the Buckeye state on Saturday morning in the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble. The Thunder placed sixth in a loaded field of 32 schools from across the midwest.
LANSING, Mich. – The Trine University men’s cross country team got a preview of the NCAA Division III National Championship course on Saturday in the NCAA Pre-National Championship event at Forest Akers Golf Course. The Thunder placed 15th overall on the men’s side out of a stout field of 36. They were fifth out of teams participating out of the Great Lakes Region.
ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University Cross Country and Track & Field programs have announced the hiring of Michela Cholak as an assistant coach. She will be the head assistant for the men’s and women’s cross country teams and have a hand in coaching the 400- and 800-meter participants during the track and field season.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Trine University men’s cross country team was in action Saturday morning at the Yellowjacket XC Invitational at Genesee Valley Park in Rochester, New York. The Thunder secured a fifth-place team finish in the 8k race out of 25 teams in attendance.
FORT WAYNE, Ind. – On Friday evening, the Trine University men’s cross country team was in action at the Rumble in the Fort. Purdue-Fort Wayne hosted the event. The 8K race was won by the Mastadons and Trine finished runners up.
ADA, Ohio – The Trine University men’s cross country team ran at Ohio Northern University on Saturday morning for the Polar Bear Invitational, the first meet of the 2022 season.
