The Trine University men’s golf team was fourth in the two-round event, but placed third in the league standings with an average score of 305 as a team over the six conference rounds.
OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. – After day one of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships, the Trine University men’s golf team is third on the leaderboard. The conference leaders Hope College extended their advantage on the rest of the league with a score of 297 on Friday. The Adrian College Bulldogs are currently second through 18 holes at 303 and the Thunder shot a 310. Trine remains second in the league standings but need to pick up 23 strokes to catch up with the Flying Dutch.
ANGOLA, Ind. – In Tuesday’s AC Eddy Invitational at Zollner Golf Course, the Trine University men’s golf team finished in a tie for third as a team, but sophomore Carter Schnipke was an individual medalist after an even-par 71 was the best round recorded. Huntington University shot a 293 as a team to claim the team trophy, while the Thunder had a 302.

The biggest change to the calendar for the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) men’s golf teams is moving the conference championship event to the spring season. The teams will still compete in four conference rounds during the fall, but the championship tournament will take place in the spring of 2024.
