ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men's golf schedule for the spring season has been unveiled.
The Thunder will begin their spring season on Wednesday, April 3 with the annual Brit-Thunder Cup. Albion will host the event in the 2024 season at Cascades Golf Course in Jackson, Michigan. Trine was victorious over Albion to retain the Cup last season.
That weekend on April 5-6, Trine will once again take part in the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational with 18 holes at Ironwood Golf Course and 18 more at Weibring Golf Course. The Thunder tied for 12th last season in a loaded field with several NCAA Championship-level teams.
On April 9, Trine will compete in the Lourdes Invitational at The Legacy Golf Club before hosting their final regular season event of the year, the AC Eddy Invitational at Zollner Golf Course, on April 16.
The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships take place on April 26-27 to decide who will receive the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Championships. After four rounds in the fall, the Thunder are in second place, 16 strokes behind the clubhouse leaders, Hope College. Senior Mark Civanich has a four-stroke advantage in search of his second consecutive MIAA Individual Medalist honor.
