HUDDLESTON, VA. -- Freshman Kyra Warren and Kati Kline represented the Trine University women's triathlon team at the East Regional Qualifier in Huddleston, Va.
Warren posted an overall time of 1:18:38 in the event and placed 50th overall out of 63 competitors who completed the race. Amongst Division III athletes, she finished 15th overall. In the swim portion, Warren completed the 750 meter course in a time of 14:12. She then posted a mark of 38:12 in the 20k bike ride and concluded the event with a time of 23:21 in the 5k run.
Kline finished 10 spots back of Warren in 60th place after an overall time of 1:24:48. Kline began the day with a time of 15:34 in the swim portion and then posted a time of 39:42 in the bike. Kine wrapped up the event in the 5k with a time of 26:47.
The Collegiate National Championships are scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 4 in Tempe, Ariz. Arizona State University will host the event at Tempe Town Lake North Shore beginning at 7 a.m. MST.
