FREELAND, Mich. -- Senior Madison Munger (Indianapolis, Ind. / Franklin Central) has been named this week's Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) volleyball Player of the Week.
It is the first time this season that the Thunder have had a player recognized by the MIAA. It is the second time in her career that Munger has earned the honor.
Munger led the team offensively as Trine finished the week 1-1 in MIAA play. She began the week by recording 28 kills, 16 digs and a block against Hope, as the team rallied from down two to force a fifth set.
In the second contest of the week, Munger gave the team 20 kills, 17 digs and two total blocks as they came from behind to defeat Olivet 3-1.
She finished the week with a .223 hitting percentage.
