Vader was hired as Sports Information Director in Nov. 2013. He is responsible for all sports information duties with Trine's 21 athletic programs.
Upon taking the SID position at Trine, Vader oversaw the redesign of the athletics website into the current form. Vader also spearheaded the athletic department's efforts to add video live-streaming. He has expanded the social media presence of Trine Thunder Athletics through Twitter and Facebook. He has served as the host sports information contact for multiple conference championship and NCAA regional events.
Prior to his time at Trine, Vader worked as Assistant Sports Information Director at Mars Hill University. He served as the primary contact for men's soccer, women's basketball, volleyball, softball, cross country, golf, swimming, tennis and track and field. While at Mars Hill, Vader also managed all athletic social media and assisted in the production of the Inside Lion Football show.
Vader got his start in sports information as a student assistant while attending Western Michigan University. He served on the game day staff for football, volleyball, ice hockey and men's basketball and worked in the media relations office. He graduated from WMU in Dec. 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism.
Vader is a native of Kalamazoo, Mich. and currently resides in Angola. He is an active member of College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
