ANGOLA, IND.-- Take a look at the upcoming schedule and a brief look at the week ahead in Trine Thunder Athletics.
Monday
Men's Golf: Trine at MIAA Jamboree- Kalamazoo, 1
p.m.
The Thunder enter the next round of the MIAA fall schedule tied
for second in the standings with Calvin. The team won the
most-recent Jamboree, hosted by Albion.
Tuesday
Men's Soccer: Trine at Adrian, 7 p.m.
The Thunder will look to recover from two one-goal losses to open
MIAA play and earn their first conference win of the season. This
is one of just two night games on the schedule for Trine the rest
of the season.
Wednesday
Women's Golf: Trine at MIAA Jamboree- St. Mary's, 1
p.m.
The tournament opens the MIAA fall schedule. Last fall, the
Thunder placed third in the conference. The top four teams in the
fall standings advance to the MIAA National Qualifier in the
spring.
Men's Tennis: Trine at Muskingum- 3 p.m.
After dropping two-consecutive matches to even their record, the
Thunder will look to bounce back in a non-conference match against
the Fighting Muskies.
Women's Soccer: Olivet at Trine- 4 p.m.
An eight-day break has allowed the Thunder to recover from four
matches in a nine-day span. A win would keep Trine above .500 in
conference play (2-2 entering the match).
Volleyball: Trine at Olivet, 6:30 p.m.
Both losses for the Thunder this season have come to teams ranked
no. 1 in the nation at the time of the match. The Thunder will look
to keep that streak rolling as they head to Olivet in search of
their 10th win of the season.
Thursday
Women's Tennis: Trine at Goshen, 4 p.m.
Two-straight wins have the Thunder on the right track as they head
to face an NAIA-foe.
Friday
Men's Tennis: Trine at St. Francis, 4 p.m.
The Thunder close out the week with the short trip down to Fort
Wayne for a non-conference match.
Women's Tennis: Trine at St. Francis, 4 p.m.
Closing out the week for the Thunder women is a non-conference
match in Fort Wayne.
Saturday
Volleyball: Trine at Illinois Tech, 10 a.m.
The Thunder get a break from non-conference play as the face the
Scarlet Hawks as part of a tri-match.
M/W Cross Country at MIAA Jamboree- Kalamazoo, 11
a.m.
The Jamboree gets all conference teams together for a race prior
to the MIAA Championship in November. The Thunder men tied for
sixth in last year's Jamboree, while the women placed seventh.
Women's Soccer: Trine at Albion, 12 p.m.
The Thunder wrap up the week with a match with the highest-scoring
team in the conference.
Volleyball: Trine vs. Earlham, 12 p.m.
A non-conference match against the Quakers closes out the week for
Thunder volleyball.
Men's Golf: Trine MIAA Jamboree, 1 p.m.
The Thunder host their round of the MIAA Jamboree on the home
Zollner Golf Course. The home course has been kind to Trine over
the years, as the team has won seven Jamborees at home since
joining the conference in 2005.
Women's Golf: Trine at MIAA Jamboree- Alma, 1 p.m.
The MIAA fall schedule continues with the second round of Jamboree
play.
Men's Soccer: Alma at Trine, 2:30 p.m.
The Thunder close out the week with a home match against the
Scots.
