LANSING, Mich. – At the site of the NCAA Division III National Championships, the Trine University women's cross country team was able to string together a top-10 finish on Saturday in the NCAA Pre-National Championship event at Forest Akers Golf Course. The Thunder were fourth out of teams out of the Great Lakes Region.
Lydia Randolph placed 13th individually at 22:31.2 in the 6K race. The sophomore took 25 seconds off of her previous career-best and led all Trine participants. She had a race pace of 4:30 per kilometer. Junior Carol Haldeman was also inside the top-50 as well with a time of 23:07.4, good for 37th on the leaderboard.
Junior Ana Parker wrapped up her day in 94th with a time of 23:57.2. It is the best 6K time of her Trine career. Seniors Alli Smith (24:00.5) and Amira Faulkner (24:22.9) wrapped up Thunder point scorers with finishes in 98th and 129th.
Senior Chloe Brittain (24:37.6) and sophomore Hannah Parker (25:09.6) rounded out the top seven.
On October 15, the Trine women take the course again in the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble.
