GREENWOOD, Ind. – The 2023 Academic All-District® teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), have been announced for the four fall sports, including football, men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball. Nine Thunder student-athletes were named to their respective teams.
Five soccer players represent Trine, three from women's soccer and a pair from the men's team. On the women's side honorees included senior Olivia Argentieri, junior Sophie Aschemeier and sophomore Francesca Fronczak. Senior Tyler Murphy and sophomore Gavin Hardy were selected from men's soccer.
Three members of the Trine University women's volleyball team were selected including juniors Rachel Campbell, Catherine Dobies, and Francesca Queary. Rounding out the Thunder delegation was senior Kale Lawson, the lone member of the football team to receive the destinction.
The Academic All-District® teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field or court and in the classroom The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes sports honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
