ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men's lacrosse team has announced their slate of games for the 2024 campaign.
Head coach Ryan Kuhn returns for his third season, after another successful season of work in 2023. The Thunder have finished with a 9-5 record in both of Kuhn's seasons, the best two-year stretch by any coach in the program's history. He currently sits 18-10 overall.
Trine's schedule currently features seven games in Zollner with ten more coming on the road. The team begins at home when they host the University of Michigan- Dearborn, before hitting the road for six-straight. During that stretch the team faces Oberlin, Mount St. Joseph, MSOE, Ohio Northern, DePauw and Otterbein.
DePauw and Mount St. Joseph are both rematches from a year ago, with both games going to the Thunder in 2023. Last year's home opener was a weather shortened 15-0 victory against the Lions while Trine won a close 8-6 match against the Tigers.
Trine returns home in the middle of March hosting three straight games. They begin with Muskingum on March 16. It is just the second meeting with the Fighting Muskies, the first a win for the Thunder in 2015. Then on March 22 the team hosts Centenary (La.) for a first every meeting. Finally, Spalding finishes a home-and-home that started last season with a lopsided Trine victory in Louisville, Ky.
The non-conference season ends on March 29 when the team heads to face Hanover College.
During Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) play the Thunder will host Alma, Calvin and Hope. They will travel to Albion, Adrian and Kalamazoo. The home schedule ends on April 23 against the Flying Dutch and then the regular season finale comes on April 27 against the Hornets.
