ANGOLA, Ind. – Coming off back-to-back seasons as Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Regular Season Co-Champions and two consecutive appearances in the NCAA DIII Tournament, the Trine University women's basketball team looks for continued success in the 2023-24 season with the release of their season schedule.
The season begins with three consecutive home games for the Thunder, starting with a standalone game versus Baldwin Wallace University on November 15. November 18 and 19 marks the annual Cameron Hospital Classic where Trine will do battle with Muskingum University and Wittenberg University.
Two road games await the Thunder next as the team travels to Ohio Northern University on November 25 and Calvin University for the MIAA opener on November 29. Both squads joined Trine in the national rankings throughout last season.
From there, the Thunder will be at home for the first five games of the month of December. They host Albion College (December 2), Saint Mary's College (December 9) and the University of Wisconsin-Stout (December 16) before taking part in the Trine Holiday Classic on December 19 and 20. Trine will take on Geneva College and Asbury University in that event.
To conclude the calendar year, the women's basketball program will be in southeast Ohio for the Marietta College Classic on December 29 and 30. The Thunder square off with Carnegie Mellon University and Gettysburg College.
The remainder of the team's games come against conference opponents, including Alma College (January 3), at Hope College (January 6), Adrian College (January 10), Kalamazoo College (January 13) and at The University of Olivet (January 17) to complete the first round through the league. The November and December conference foes in Albion, Calvin and Saint Mary's will then complete their home-and-home series for the season on January 20, January 24 and January 27.
Three of the final five games of the season for the Thunder will be on the road, starting with Alma College (February 3) and Adrian College (February 7). The final two home games of the regular season will be against Hope on February 10 and Olivet on February 14 for senior day. Trine wraps up regular season play on February 17 at Kalamazoo.
