CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Trine University women's golf program had four representatives chosen by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) as All-American Scholars for the 2022-23 season.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season and have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship. Across the country, 1,401 women's collegiate golfers from 378 programs were recognized with this prestigious honor.
Seniors Reagan Guthrie and Máire Sullivan became four-time honorees having received the All-American Scholar title in 2022-23. Guthrie's lowest conference round of the season came at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #3 event at Pine River Country Club in Alma, Michigan where she fired an 84. Sullivan had a 77 in the same event to place inside the top-10. The duo placed top-5 as individuals at the Steven Tyler Memorial on April 10.
Sophomores Bailey Bravata and Grace Dubec made it 2-for-2 on claiming the award in their careers thus far. Bravata shot an even 80 at MIAA Jamboree #3 for her best conference round of the season. Dubec was named All-MIAA for the first time thanks to an average score of 82.0 throughout six MIAA rounds. She started her season with a pair of 78's at MIAA Jamborees 1 and 2.
