HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – Morgan Moslow of the Trine University women's track and field team was named Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Athlete of the Week following her top performance at the Indiana DIII Championships. The Thunder women were victorious over the other seven NCAA DIII teams participating from the state of Indiana.
The sophomore from Highland, Indiana has notched her first career MIAA Athlete of the Week award this week. At the Indiana DIII Championships hosted by DePauw University, Moslow was the event champion in the pole vault with a score of 3.15 meters (10' 4.00") and gained maximum points for the team.
She attempted to set a new school record and personal best mark, but came up short in three attempts. Luckily, she already had the event-winning mark in her previous try. Moslow is currently second in the MIAA in the pole vault after securing a new school record in the event at the Spartan Invite (3.20 meters / 10' 6.00").
The next event on the schedule for Trine is the Little State Championships at Indiana Wesleyan University scheduled for April 21-22.
