Men's Soccer Elevates Victor Newberg to Assistant Coach
April 24, 2024ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men’s soccer team has announced that Victor Newberg will be taking an increase in role with the program as an assistant coach. Newberg had previously served as a volunteer assistant coach with the team in 2023.

Nine Recognized on Academic All-District Teams
December 19, 2023GREENWOOD, Ind. – The 2023 Academic All-District® teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), have been announced for the four fall sports, including football, men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball. Nine Thunder student-athletes were named to their respective teams.

The Thunder entered play as the number two seed in the event, but came up short by a score of 3-2 after two overtime periods to their opponents.

October 30, 2023ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men’s and women’s soccer programs will be in action in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Tournament Semifinals this week. The Trine women will be playing on the road at Hope College on Tuesday, October 31 beginning at 5 p.m. while the men’s squad will host The University of Olivet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1 at Shive Field.

October 23, 2023HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – Senior forward Tyler Murphy of the Trine University men’s soccer team has been named Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Men’s Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week. It is the seventh time in his career that he has been tabbed MIAA Athlete of the Week and Murphy is the second Trine men’s soccer student-athlete to be awarded by the conference in 2023.

October 21, 2023ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men’s soccer team secured a senior day victory over Alma College 2-1 on Saturday with a late goal in the second half. The senior class of Aidan McGonagle, Tyler Murphy, Alhasan Yahya, Francesco Mazzei, Alhusain Yahya, Abraham Antar and Joey Donovan were honored post-match for their accomplishments on the pitch and in the classroom.
