Nine Recognized on Academic All-District TeamsDecember 19, 2023GREENWOOD, Ind. – The 2023 Academic All-District® teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), have been announced for the four fall sports, including football, men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball. Nine Thunder student-athletes were named to their respective teams.

Madison Dominick Named Second Team All-MIAANovember 10, 2023HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – Madison Dominick of the Trine University women’s volleyball team has earned Second Team All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) honors following a breakout season. It is her first career all-conference award.

Adrian Defeats Trine in MIAA Tournament First RoundNovember 07, 2023ADRIAN, Mich. – The Trine University women’s volleyball team competed against Adrian College on Tuesday evening in the #4 versus #5 match in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Tournament First Round. The Thunder were unable to topple their opponents in the Bulldogs as Adrian advances on in the event with a 3-0 win.

Women's Volleyball Clinches Postseason Spot with Win at OlivetNovember 03, 2023OLIVET, Mich. – With their victory on Friday night, the Trine University women’s volleyball team clinched a spot in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Tournament. The Thunder defeated The University of Olivet by a score of 3-1.

Trine Celebrates Seniors with Five-Set WinNovember 01, 2023ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women’s volleyball team collected a victory on Wednesday night whilst celebrating their senior student-athletes 3-2 over the Alma College Scots. The win pushes their record to 10-14 overall and 2-5 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) play while Alma falls to 13-12 and 2-6.

Non-Conference Schedule Comes to a Close at DePauwOctober 29, 2023GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Trine University women’s volleyball team made their final preparations for the regular season finale conference games next week with a trip to DePauw University to face Kenyon College as well as the host Tigers in a tri-match. The Thunder came away from the event with a 1-1 record, defeating Kenyon and losing to DePauw, both in four sets.

Thunder Battle with Nationally-Ranked Flying DutchOctober 18, 2023HOLLAND, Mich. – The Trine University women’s volleyball team traveled to the #3 ranked Hope College on Wednesday night and suffered a three-set loss. The Thunder now hold a record of 8-13 overall and are 1-5 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) play. The Flying Dutch win their fourth straight match and move to 17-1 and remain unbeaten at 5-0 in conference action.

Trine Falls to Saint Mary's on Friday NightOctober 13, 2023SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Trine University women’s volleyball team dropped their Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) contest to Saint Mary’s College on Friday evening by a score of 3-1. After suffering a loss in the first set, the Thunder rallied to a dominant set two victory. A closely contested set three went to the Belles before the home squad pulled away to the match win in the fourth.

Hot Start Not Enough for Women's Volleyball at #7 CalvinOctober 10, 2023GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Trine University women’s volleyball team lost in straight sets on Tuesday to the seventh-ranked team in NCAA DIII heading into the day in Calvin University. The Thunder fall to 8-9 overall and 1-3 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) play. The Knights of Calvin are now 14-3 and 2-1 in conference action.

Pink Out Match Goes to the Thunder 3-0October 04, 2023ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women’s volleyball team was able to make quick work of Kalamazoo College on Wednesday to secure their first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) win of 2023. The Thunder swept the Hornets 3-0, with the closest set coming with an eight-point scoring differential.

Trine Swept by AlbionSeptember 30, 2023ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women’s volleyball team fell 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in a home Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) match versus Albion College. The loss drops Trine to 7-8 overall and 0-2 in conference play. The Britons of Albion are 10-7 on the year and 1-1 in league action.

Thunder Drop MIAA Opener 3-1September 26, 2023ANGOLA, Ind. – In the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) and home opener for the Trine University women’s volleyball team, the Thunder were defeated by the Adrian College Bulldogs 3-1. Trine was able to come out strong by taking set one, but struggled in the second set and were unable to snag either of the third or fourth sets despite the scores being close.

The Thunder would top both opponents by a 3-1 score, and advances to 7-6 overall in 2023.

Five in a Row for Trine after Wins Versus RIT and Grove City on SaturdaySeptember 16, 2023ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Trine University women’s volleyball team completed the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Invitational a perfect 3-0 and have now won five consecutive matches after defeating the host Tigers in straight sets and beating Grove City College 3-1.

Trine Goes 1-2 at MIAA/NCAC Crossover EventSeptember 09, 2023GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Trine University women’s volleyball team opened up the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association/North Coast Athletic Conference (MIAA/NCAC) Crossover event on Friday with a pair of matches against the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and host DePauw University on Friday. Then on Saturday morning, the team squared off with Hiram College to conclude the event.

Trine Fifth in MIAA Women's Volleyball Preseason Coaches PollAugust 16, 2023HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) women’s volleyball coaches have voted in the 2023 preseason poll. Of the nine MIAA squads, the Trine Thunder were selected as the number five squad heading into 2023.

2023 Season Schedule Announced for Trine Women's VolleyballJune 29, 2023ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women’s volleyball team and head coach Jamie Wozniak have released their match schedule for the 2023 season. The Thunder will compete in six multi-match events as well as eight Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) contests. Trine is coming off a 12-11 season last year and was 4-4 in MIAA play.

Women's Volleyball Hosting Multiple Camps in JulyJune 15, 2023ANGOLA, Ind. - The Trine University women's volleyball program has announced dates for several upcoming camps in July. The Thunder will be hosting five camps geared toward middle and high school aged athletes.
