NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced the recipients of the 2023 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Cross Country All-Academic Athletes and Teams. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
The Trine University men's and women's cross country teams, under the direction of Head Coach Zach Raber, both received All-Academic Team honors, with the men's team holding a grade point average of 3.372 and the women's tram a 3.584.
From the Thunder men's cross country team, sophomore computer engineering major Tyler Hartleroad, junior electrical engineering major Joseph Packard and freshman mechanical engineering major Max Van Huis received USTFCCCA All-Academic accolades.
The Trine women's cross country team saw four team members collect All-Academic awards from the USTFCCCA. Junior elementary education and special education major Chloe Goodrich, sophomore exercise science major Bailey Puckett, freshman biomedical engineering major Annabel Stanley and sophomore exercise science and pre-physical therapy major Eleanor Young were mentioned by the USTFCCCA for their efforts on the racecourse and in the classroom.
