ADRIAN, Mich. – The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) has announced the conference's 2024 All-Academic teams. The Trine University men's hockey team had 19 student-athletes named to the honor, the second most in the NCHA while women's hockey had eight honorees.
Six members of the men's team made their third appearance on the list, including Jacob Berg, Beau Binnie, Jared Bowman, Shane Brancato, Jackson Clark and Thad Marcola. Five more made their second appearance on the list including Tyler Fox, Tim Organ, Bobby Price, Kyle Watson and Cristian Wong-Ramos. The final eight honorees were all first-time members of the list including Sam Antenucci, Tyler Blanchard, Evan Carroll, Sean Henry, Brendan Hill, Kyle Kozma, Josh Wright and Matteo Ybarra.
On the women's side, three members appeared for their third time, with Grace Hicks, Taryn Raisanen, and Ellie Warhoftig each earning the honor. Ryleigh Furlong and Payton Hans were second time honorees while Casey Frank, Lauren Lacroix and Kailey Mleko each made their debut.
To qualify for the All-Academic Team, players must be sophomores, juniors or seniors and carry an overall GPA of at least 3.30. In all, a league record 247 student-athletes were honored across the NCHA.
