ANGOLA, Ind. – Head Coach Theresa Rankin of the Trine University women's wrestling program has been selected as one two "Coaches of the Year" by the Indiana State Wrestling Association.
Rankin, who is entering her second year at the helm, was extremely active in the state over the past year. She ran over ten camps including two at Trine and was heavily involved with the Indiana Nationals team.
"The opportunities over this past year have been amazing," said Rankin, "To be in just my first year of coaching in Indiana and to help run the nationals teams is a huge honor."
Rankin spent the summer serving as the national team leader a role that saw her running and coaching wrestlers from around the state. She led the team's trips to both the dual national championship in Oklahoma and the individual nationals in North Dakota. She was also coached at the duals event hosted by Disney in Orlando, Fla.
