ANGOLA, Ind. -- Sophomore Bobby Price has been named this week's Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) Offensive Player of the Week after leading the team to a four-point weekend against nationally-ranked Adrian College. Price finished the weekend with a team high five points including one goal and four assists.
On Friday he helped kick start the offensive after the team trailed early against the Bulldogs, notching an assist on the team's first goal. The Thunder went on to score another, before falling in overtime by the score of 3-2. The loss nontheless earned the team a point in the NCHA standings, the first earned against Adrian in program history.
Then on day two of the weekend, Price and his linemates exploded combining for four goals in a game that saw the Thunder cruise to a 6-2 victory, the first in the program's history against the Bulldogs. Price led the way in the game with one goal and three assists.
This is the second time in Price's career that he has been named a NCHA Player of the Week.
Trine will look to build on momentum when they travel to New York for their next competition coming Saturday, November 26 against Utica College. That game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
