COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) released its list of Scholar All-Americans from the 2020-21 season, with the Trine women's triathlon team mentioned.
Collegiate varsity teams were recognized on academic performance based on a collective overall GPA of 3.2 or higher for the complete team roster. A total of 26 teams earned the honor across all Division I, Division II and Division III varsity women's collegiate triathlon programs.
Trine held a team GPA of 3.82 and at the conclusion of the spring 2021 semester, nine Thunder athletes were individually named Division III Individual Scholar All Americans. Across all three divisions, Trine had the third-most student-athletes recognized for their work in the classroom.
The next event for the Thunder will be the USA Triathlon Women's Collegiate National Championships in Tempe, Arizona on Saturday, November 13.
