NEW ORLEANS, La. – Ahead of this weekend's NCAA DIII Indoor Track and Field National Championships, the United States Track and Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced student-athletes who were named All-Region. The Trine University track and field team had four competitors receive All-Region honors in eight different events.
On the women's side, Evie Miller [Fort Wayne, Ind. / Homestead] was All-Region in four events: the 800-meter run, the mile run, the 3000-meter run and the 5000-meter run. Haley Livingston [Fort Worth, Texas / Everman] was honored in both the long jump and 60-meter hurdles. In field events, Valerie Obear [Fishers, Ind. / Hamilton Southeastern] represented the Thunder as an All-Region recipient in the weight throw.
Jake Gladieux [Oregon, Ohio / Whitmer] is Trine's lone men's honoree for All-Region in the 60-meter hurdles.
Gladieux, Miller and Obear will compete at the national championships on Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
