INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Trine University men's volleyball team has qualified to compete in their first NCAA Division III Tournament in program history and will travel to Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa for the First and Second Rounds of the event on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20. Trine and Loras will compete at 4 p.m. CST on Friday, April 19 for their NCAA Tournament First Round match.

The Thunder received the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League's (MCVL) automatic bid by way of winning the MCVL Tournament last weekend. They enter the NCAA Tournament with a record of 19-6. They will face the host Duhawks in Round One, who won the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Volleyball Tournament to qualify for the NCAA Tournament. Loras holds a record of 24-1.
In the other First Round matchup taking place on Friday, California Lutheran University and Dominican University will meet. The Kingsmen received an at-large bid and the Stars of Dominican won the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) to make the postseason. California Lutheran is 22-5 while Dominican is 19-7 overall. That match begins at 6:30 p.m. CST. The winning teams will square off at Loras starting at 6:00 p.m. CST on Saturday, April 20.
