ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University softball team has announced that they will host a pair of clinics in the coming months, one focused on hitting and the other their 17th annual Players Clinic. The Players Clinic is now full, except for the pitching session.
The hitting clinic will be held on Sunday, Nov. 12 while the Players Clinic is set for Sunday, Dec. 3. Both offer the unique opportunity to work with the players and coaches of the 2023 NCAA Division III National Championships Team.
The hitting clinic is a great chance for softball players to learn the techniques used by the elite hitters of Trine University's softball team. Last season the Thunder batters finished top-ten nationally in homeruns, doubles and total runs.
Sessions will be focused on hitting fundamentals and drills that have helped Trine succeed at the plate. The hitting clinic costs $75 individually with just 50 spots available. For more information check out the clinic's flyer.
The annual Players Clinic is focused on instructing attendees in all facets of the game, utilizing skills and techniques that led the program to its first NCAA Division III National Championship and have made the program one of the best in Division III over the past decade.
The general afternoon session (1:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.), which is open to players 12 and up, costs $100. Catching and pitching sessions are available in the morning at a cost of $40 each. Catching and pitching spots are limited to 20 participants. For more information check out the clinic's flyer.
Those wishing to attend are encouraged to do so online. Any questions should be directed to head coach Don Danklefsen.
