ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women's lacrosse team has released their 2024 season schedule. The Thunder are looking to build upon a 5-7 record in 2023 and a 2-5 mark in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) play.
Head Coach Kevin Cooke is in his third season at the helm of the program and enters 2024 with a career record of 16-12 overall. With one MIAA Tournament appearance already under his belt, he looks to lead his team their first conference championship this season.
Trine opens the season with two non-conference home games, starting with February 24 against Bethel University. They host Ohio Northern University on February 28 before hitting the road for three consecutive contests.
The road trip begins at Madonna University on March 2. From there, the team travels south for the weekend of March 8-9 where the Thunder will take on Spalding University and Hanover College.
After a hiatus from home, Trine returns to Shive Field on March 17 as the Thunder square off with Franklin College. Then, Trine plays host to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on March 21. These games begin a stretch of five straight home games, ending with Wittenberg University (March 23), Mount St. Joseph University (March 24) and the College of Wooster (March 30).
MIAA action starts on April 6 with a rivalry game at Adrian College. Trine remains on the road for their next two conference games: Albion College on April 10 and Alma College on April 13. Three of the final four games of the regular season are on home turf.
Back-to-back games against Saint Mary's College (April 16) and Hope College (April 20) will be played prior to the final road game of the year at Kalamazoo College (April 24). The regular season finale with be at home versus Calvin University on April 27.
