FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Trine University women's golf team was third at the Franklin Lady Grizzly Spring Tournament at The Legends Golf Club.
Transylvania University was the team champion at 675 with Rose-Hulman behind them at 700 and the Thunder at 711. The team shot a 356 in round two on Sunday, the second-best team score on the day.
Junior Maire Sullivan [Plymouth, Mich. / Plymouth] placed third overall with a two-day score of 169 (85-84). Freshman Carli Sanford [Howe, Ind. / Sturgis] was also in the top-10 in ninth with a 176 (90-86).
Junior Reagan Guthrie [Genoa, Ohio / Genoa Area] finished the tournament at 179 (87-92) with freshman Grace Dubec [Fishers, Ind. / Hamilton Southeastern] and junior Lily Williamson [Colfax, Ind. / Western Boone] in tow. Dubec shot a 187 (93-94) while Williamson notched a 189 (93-96). Freshman Bailey Bravata [Holland, Mich. / Zeeland East] competed as an individual and finished her 36 holes at 181 (90-91).
The Steven Tyler Memorial at The Moors Golf Club will mark the end of the 2021-22 women's golf season on Monday, April 25.
