NAPERVILLE, Ill. - In their final season as a member of the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference, the Trine University squad placed all three of their seniors, Shelly Raupp, Ashley Kocsis and Emily Shreeve, on the All-MWLC Second Team. All three were also garnered second team honors in 2011.
Raupp (Vernon Hills, Ill./Vernon Hills) finished the year seventh in the conference with 16 goals scored in conference play. On the season, Raupp scored a team-high 20 goals. Raupp completes her four years at Trine as the second leading scorer in school history with 85 goals.
Kocsis (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) led the conference with 24 groundballs and was tied for the league lead with 10 caused turnovers. In her final season at Trine, Kocsis ended the year with 10 goals and a team-high four assist. Kocsis also led the team with 34 groundballs, 27 draw controls and 13 caused turnovers. Kocsis leaves Trine as the third leading scorer with 83 goals along with holding the career marks in assists (20), groundballs (156), caused turnovers (59) and draw controls (122).
Shreeve (Manchester, Md./North Carroll) finished second on the team this season with 17 goals and picking up 15 groundballs. Shreeve’s 65 career goals ranks fourth all-time in school history.
