ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men's wrestling team kicks off the 2023-24 season with a schedule that holds six opportunities to catch the Thunder at home.
The season gets underway on Saturday, November 4 at the Ben McMullen Open at Muskegon Community College and the following weekend, the Trine Invite takes place inside the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center (ARC) on November 11.
The Thunder will be on the road for the remainder of 2023 with meets at Baldwin Wallace University on November 18 (BW Invite), Indiana Tech on December 2 (Indiana Little State) and Luther College on December 16 (Gator Boot Duals).
The first wrestling meet of 2024 for Trine will be the Fairmont State Invite at Fairmont State University on January 6. From there, the Thunder will host Ancilla College (January 10) and Henry Ford College (January 17) in dual matches, both at home. The final test before conference play begins is the Alma College Open on January 20.
The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) slate begins with a home meet versus The University of Olivet on January 24. The team travels back north to Alma for their conference dual on February 1 before hosting Albion College on February 7. The final MIAA meet of the season is against the defending champions Adrian College on the road on February 13.
The final home event of the year for Trine men's wrestling is the Mid State Championships on February 17. Postseason play begins on March 2 with the NCAA Central Regional hosted by Ohio Northern University.
