KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The United Soccer Coaches (USC) have announced their College Team Academic Awards for the 2022-23 school year. The Trine University women's soccer program was tabbed as an Academic Award winner for their efforts in the classroom.
The USC annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year. To be eligible for the USC Team Academic Award, a program must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Led by head coach Gary Boughton, the Thunder had a team grade point average of 3.61. A total of 814 collegiate programs were honored by the USC in 2022-23, including an even 500 women's teams.
