ANGOLA, Ind. – Head coach Melissa Paluch has announced that Abbie Bost will be the next assistant coach for the Trine University women's hockey team.
"I am thrilled for Abbie to continue to be a part of our family and staff," said Paluch, "She not only has a huge heart but her talent and ability to see the game will be an asset to our program. Abbie is a great example of pure hard work and dedication."
Bost, who graduated from Trine this spring, has served as a volunteer assistant coach for the past two Thunder seasons where she participated in all day-to-day operations of the team. Before stepping into the coaching ranks she spent two years as a goalie for the team. During that time she became the first person in program history to record 60 saves in a single game.
"I am incredibly excited to be the next assistant coach for Trine women's hockey," explained Bost, "I've seen firsthand how this program has evolved over the years and I am looking forward to continuing to support the team's growth and development. Both on and off the ice."
