FREELAND, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) has named sophomore Haley Livingston [Fort Worth, Texas / Everman] MIAA Women's Track Athlete of the Week for an outstanding sixth time this season between the indoor and outdoor campaigns.
Livingston was pivotal in the team's seventh-place finish at the Little State Championships and scored points in four separate events. She also secured new school records in both hurdle runs.
The sophomore ran a time of 14.57 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles to break her own program best mark in the event and scored a fourth-place finish. She won the 400-meter hurdle with a time of 1:05.83, besting the previous school record set by Jensyn Garrow in 2019. Livingston was a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that secured a fifth-place finish (50.42 seconds) and was fifth overall in the triple jump (10.67 meters / 35' 0.25").
The Trine women's track and field team will do battle on Friday, April 29 in the Lancer Invitational at Grace College.
