DULUTH, Minn. – The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) has unveiled the preseason poll for the 2021-22 men's hockey season. The Trine University men's hockey team was picked to finish ninth.
Adrian College topped the poll with 80 total points and eight first-place votes.
The Thunder and head coach Alex Todd, who is entering his fifth season at the helm of the program, is coming off a 5-10-1 season, and was 3-4-1 in NCHA play. Trine made a Harris Cup Quarterfinal appearance in 2020-21.
The top goal scorer from last year Garrett Hallford [Mckinney, Texas] as well as goalkeeper Shane Brancato [Lake Villa, Ill.] return to the ice for the Thunder this season.
Trine opens up play on Friday, October 29 at Hamline University. The puck drops at 8 pm.
