EXCELSIOR, Minn. – The Trine University men's hockey team dropped one spot in the latest edition of the USCHO.com NCAA Division III national poll, holding on to the 15th spot after a weekend split.
After entering the poll for the first this season last week, the Thunder lost 12 points after a split weekend at the North Country Tournament in Canton, N.Y. Adrian College remains the only other member of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) to be ranked after moving up to third. St. Norbert is still receiving votes.
Trine won a thrilling 6-4 contest on Saturday against their hosts from SUNY Canton, with a pair of skaters recording four points. Then in Sunday's championship contest the team came up short of Hamilton College, falling 4-0.
The 8-2 Thunder return home for an NCHA doubleheader this upcoming weekend. They will host Marian University beginning on Friday, December 1 at 7 p.m.
